tourist attendance at the zenith
According to the INSEE report published last November, the balance sheet is positive with an occupancy rate increased from 30.0% in 2018 to 31.3% in 2019, also carried, as in the previous year, by a favorable weather. Admittedly, 1.3% increase remains a moderate increase
With 9.8 million overnight stays recorded during the summer season, hotels, campsites and other collective accommodation in Hauts-de-France set a new attendance record, up 7% compared to the 2018 season, i.e. strongest regional growth. The number of overnight stays increases especially in campsites (+ 18%) and other tourist accommodation of the tourist residence and holiday village types (+ 7%).
